Objectives
- To evaluate Lofrix EcoGel’s impact on engine torque, power, fuel consumption, efficiency, and thermal characteristics under controlled dynamometer conditions, using a new Ford Focus 1.5L diesel engine.
Solutions:
Lofrix EcoGel was added to the engine lubricating oil, and extensive dynamometer testing was conducted, including:
- 4-hour steady-state testing at 2000 RPM and 25% throttle to simulate motorway driving.
- Stepped parameter testing with variations in speed (1,500–3,000 RPM) and throttle (25–75%) to assess performance under diverse driving conditions.

Future testing will focus on older, well-used engines to evaluate performance and emissions improvements in real-world scenarios, with particular attention to NO₂ and particulate outputs.
