Improve Efficiency. Reduce Downtime. Extend Equipment Life.

Manufacturing facilities rely on machinery operating efficiently, day after day. Whether it's production lines, conveyors, gearboxes or hydraulic systems, equipment reliability is essential for maintaining productivity and controlling operating costs.

Lofrix products help manufacturers reduce friction, minimise wear and extend the life of critical machinery. By improving mechanical efficiency and protecting moving components, Lofrix helps reduce maintenance requirements while maximising production uptime.

Proven in Manufacturing

Lofrix products have delivered measurable improvements across a wide range of manufacturing environments.

Industrial Gearboxes

Testing in industrial processing equipment demonstrated energy savings of approximately 10% following the addition of Lofrix Original to gearbox lubricating oil, improving efficiency while reducing operating costs.

High-Temperature Bearings

A major paper manufacturer used Lofrix Original in drying line bearings operating under high temperatures and continuous production.

The results included:

  • Over 10 years without bearing replacement
  • Extended oil service life
  • Cleaner lubrication systems
  • Reduced maintenance downtime
  • Increased production reliability

Heavy Manufacturing

In a clay brick manufacturing plant, Lofrix Original was introduced into a 500 hp extruder gearbox during a rebuild.

The results included:

  • More than 5% reduction in power consumption
  • Reduced internal gearbox wear
  • Cleaner gearbox oil
  • Elimination of recurring gear damage
  • Significant reductions in maintenance costs and production downtime

Precision CNC Milling & Machining

In CNC machining, tooling costs, precision and production efficiency are critical. High levels of friction and metal-on-metal contact can increase heat, accelerate tool wear and reduce machining consistency.

Lofrix technology is designed to reduce friction between metal surfaces, helping protect cutting tools and components operating under demanding machining conditions.

Lofrix Original has been successfully used in CNC milling operations to help reduce friction during machining, extend cutting tool life and support more consistent production.

Demonstrated Friction & Anti-Seize Performance

The friction-reducing properties behind Lofrix technology have also been demonstrated under severe metal-on-metal conditions.

In independent testing, 25 mm mild steel and stainless steel bars were subjected to high side loads with no lubricating oil present, deliberately creating conditions designed to accelerate seizure.

Untreated mild steel seized after just 3 seconds. Following treatment with Lofrix Dry, seizure was delayed to 135 seconds — 45× longer.

The difference was even greater with stainless steel, a material particularly susceptible to seizing and galling. Untreated stainless steel seized after 2 seconds, while the Lofrix-treated specimen continued for 380 seconds — 190× longer.

These results demonstrate the ability of Lofrix technology to significantly reduce friction and delay seizure under severe metal-on-metal contact.

Benefits for CNC Operations

  • Reduced wear on milling cutters and cutting tools
  • Extended tool life
  • Reduced risk of friction-related seizure and galling
  • Lower tooling replacement costs
  • Reduced friction and heat generation
  • Improved machining consistency
  • Increased productivity
  • Reduced machine downtime
  • Lower overall operating costs

For CNC operations where tool wear, friction, heat or metal-on-metal contact are limiting productivity, Lofrix provides an additional layer of protection designed to keep tooling and machinery operating efficiently.
